Rooted in nature. Scientific precision. Next-generation solutions.

From the natural heritage of Lithuania to the biotechnology of tomorrow

UAB PROSAPIA is embarking on research and experimental development (R&D) activities funded by the Research Council of Lithuania. Research is being carried out in collaboration with scientists from the Faculty of Chemical Technology at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU).

This collaboration marks an important step towards exploring nature-inspired ideas through scientific research and opening up new technological possibilities.

PROSAPIA – EXTEND YOUR LEGACY

The name PROSAPIA is associated with ancestry, lineage, family and continuity. These values are also reflected in the company's approach to nature and its heritage. Lithuania's natural depths hold a wealth of potential yet to be discovered. Our aim is to explore this potential, deepen our understanding of it and, through science and modern technologies, seek opportunities to develop next-generation solutions. What nature has accumulated over time may become a valuable foundation for future generations.

Project objective: to investigate, at laboratory scale, the technological feasibility of nano- and microemulsion systems based on naturally derived components, prepare experimental prototypes, characterise their physical and chemical properties, and assess their physical stability.

Main research activities:

  • Assessment of the technological suitability and compatibility of naturally derived raw materials.
  • Development of experimental nano- and microemulsion systems under laboratory conditions.
  • Comparison of technological methods and investigation of their effects on system properties.
  • Analysis of physical and chemical parameters and stability testing.
  • Evaluation of experimental data, selection of the most promising technological mock-up, and preparation of recommendations for further development.

Duration: up to 12 project weeks (3 months.);

Expected results: experimental research data and their analysis; results of the characterisation and stability assessment of the developed technological mock-up; a description of the technological process or an experimentally substantiated analysis of technological limitations; and recommendations for subsequent R&D stages.

Project funding: the project is implemented under the Research Council of Lithuania project:

„Mokslo vadybos ir žinių komercinimo gebėjimų mokslo ir studijų institucijose stiprinimas įgyvendinant preakceleravimo ir mentorystės veiklas“
(Strengthening Research Management and Knowledge Commercialisation Capacities in Research and Higher Education Institutions through Pre-acceleration and Mentoring Activities).

Co-funded by the European Union.
